Q. Who Are you?
A. We are experts on loss adjustments who you can employ to assist you (the general public, only) in preparing filing and negotiating fire, business interruption and allied claim adjustments.
Q. Why are you called "Public Insurance Adjusters"?
A. To distinguish us from the insurance company’s adjuster – and because we represent you, the public, exclusively.
Q. Are you in any way connected with insurance companies?
A. No. We are engaged exclusively by you – the policy-holder – and not by the insurance companies.
Q. Do you engage in any other business?
A. No. We devote ourselves solely, and on a full time professional basis, to Public Insurance Adjusting.
Q. What will you do for me?
A. Advise and assist in the preparation of inventories, estimates and other factual proofs of loss. Handle all the necessary details for compiling and filing claims, as required by the terms of your insurance policies. We will confer with the insurance company representatives and handle all negotiations essential to a proper and satisfactory adjustment of your claims.
Q. Who currently employs the services of your company?
A. Banks, Building & Loan Associations, Attorneys, Major Corporations listed on various stock exchanges, Accountants, Municipalities, Governmental Agencies and many other business firms.
Q. How can you assist me?
A. In settling your claim, the insurance company will cover you only in accordance with the terms of your policy. It is up yo YOU to PROVE your loss! And there may be many questions as to how the policy stipulations could or should be applied in different circumstances. We are your experts when such questions arise. Our 15 years of experience and specialized knowledge make it possible for you to receive the maximum amount to which you may be entitled under your insurance policy. Our professional help relieves you of the work, worry and the enormous amount of time-consuming detail in filing a claim, and thereby allows you to devote your time and effort to your business or other activities.
Q. Will my insurance agent or broker take care of and adjust my claim?
A. The agent or broker serves you at all times in connection with your insurance coverages. He generally does not have the time, training, or facilities to render the highly specialized service of insurance adjusting.
Q. Will the insurance company recognize you as my representative?
A. Yes, indeed! Most companies actually prefer to work with an experienced, professional Public Insurance Adjuster rather than an inexperienced claimant. It is to the best interests of all concerned that a fair and prompt settlement be made.
Q. Will you be kept informed?
A. Yes. Your participation in the process is very important. Equitable Adjusters, LLC. will communicate with you throughout the process and keep you advised of your claim status. Equitable Adjusters, LLC. is available at all times to answer your questions. This is YOUR claim and YOU are the final authority.
Q. How can you serve me better than the insurance company adjuster?
A. The insurance company adjuster is employed exclusively by the insurance company and must try to strike a balance between your interests and those of his company. It is somewhat like trying to serve two masters. We are working for your best interests exclusively.
Q. Will you take care of any claims other than fire?
A. Yes. We will assist you in any claims of loss against any insurance company under the fire coverage and allied lines. These include windstorm explosion, snow, hail, smoke, motor vehicle damage losses, inland marine, use and occupancy, rentals, improvements and betterments, commission and profit, reporting forms and others.
Q. Can't I prepare a claim of my own property better than you?
A. No. It stands to reason that we who professionally handle and prepare claims every day, can do it more competently and efficiently than the average insured, who may have only one loss in a lifetime.
Q. Why should I engage you to obtain what is rightfully due me?
A. Do you really know what is rightfully due you? We do! We are your representative exclusively. With our experience and knowledge, we are far more capable of bringing about a favorable and satisfactory adjustment.
